

Individual work schedules are occurring in shared spaces or opportunities to work remotely. According to Workplace Transformation and the Changing Nature of Work, organizations are attempting to optimize costs by reducing unneeded office space, while increasing space for collaboration among teams, allowing for face-to-face meetings. Future space is all about collaboration, community, and communication.

Today, the housing of documents, if the folder is set up effectively, this will ensure only current, relevant documents are being distributed and/or retrieved. The question is…why do we keep them? Before technology took the workplace by storm, most office personnel sorted through numerous file folders in endless rows of filing cabinets, often with lost information. We all have documents in our cabinets that are ancient. While it’s doubtful offices will go completely paper-free, tools, programs, and apps can eliminate most of this unnecessary paper.
